Classroom Assistant

The Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join our team on a full time basis. Initially, the role will be based within our Year 4 cohort for Term 6; however, the successful candidate should be flexible and willing to work across any year group from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and adaptable individual to support pupils’ learning and development within a welcoming and supportive school environment.

We are seeking a committed and capable Classroom Assistant who:

ü  Has a solid educational background (including English and Maths) and a commitment to ongoing professional development

ü  Brings experience of supporting children’s learning, ideally across a range of abilities, including those with additional needs

ü  Is confident in helping to raise pupil attainment, including delivering targeted support or catch-up interventions

ü  Demonstrates strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills

ü  Can contribute positively to classroom planning and work effectively under the direction of the class teacher

ü  Is a calm, patient, and consistent presence—able to build trust and respect with pupils through a gentle but firm approach

ü  Works well as part of a team, showing flexibility and a willingness to support the wider needs of the school

ü  Is supportive of, and sensitive to, the school’s Christian ethos

 Cleaner

Sarum St Paul’s is seeking to appoint a reliable and conscientious Cleaner to join our friendly and dedicated team with an immediate start. This role is for 3 hours per day (3–6pm) during term time, with additional hours required in the summer holidays to support a thorough deep clean of the school. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils and staff, and will occasionally be responsible for securing and locking up the school site at the end of the day. This is an important role within our school community, supporting the smooth running of our happy and industrious learning environment.

 

All about the role(s):

We are seeking a committed and capable Cleaner who is/has:

ü  Reliable, trustworthy and able to work independently

ü  Previous cleaning experience (ideally in a school or similar setting)

ü  Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

ü  Awareness of health and safety procedures, including safe use of cleaning equipment and materials

ü  Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within the allocated hours

ü  Willingness to take responsibility for securing the premises when required

ü  Flexible and willing to support additional cleaning duties during holiday periods

ü  Positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a safe, welcoming school environment

ü  Able to work as part of a team and take pride in their role within the school community

Interview date:  23rd or 24th April 2026 (tbc)

Commencement date:  As soon as possible after interview and necessary checks.
