From Year 1 upwards pupils are expected to practise their weekly spellings ready for their test. Evidence of practise will need to be seen in their books but these will not be marked. The children will take their test in these books in class so parents can see results. |

From Year 2 upwards pupils are expected to practise their times tables on a weekly basis. When they are confident with tables they will move onto division/other number facts. Evidence of practise will need to be seen in their books but these will not be marked. Children can use Times Table Rock Stars to practise - parents to sign in books to say this has been done.
From June 2020, all Year 4 pupils nationally will sit a times tables test. |
Specific pupils will have weekly sounds |

An open ended topic-based home learning task will be given out every short term. There will be suggestions as to what pupils could do but no set expectations on time spent or quantity produced. This will give families more flexibility over how they organise their time and there is no pressure on the amount a child produces, we just ask they do something. |
